Scope & Content |
This book, labeled "Second Book of Records," on the first page, reflects meeting notes, warrants, votes, decisions, ledgers, and other miscellaneous documentation of the SCC's activities between 05/08/1753 and 1792. The entries are typically dated though are not signed by the authors. The book is bound in leather. The pages are laid paper with a watermark in the center of the page. The watermark is circular with a crown on top, a crowned lion in the center, and the words "Pro Patria Eiusque Libertate" along the circle, which translate to "For country and her liberty." There were 2 typewritten notes, created by the SCC, inside the book's from cover. One reads, "Vol. B. Film and Xerox copies were made of this volume in June, 1961." The notes (items 964.001.021-022) are Series I's folder, while photocopies remain with the book to preserve context. The SCC labeled this book as Volume B. |
