A letter posted from Havanna Cuba from Cantera Lavaletta to Captain John Lovett advising him of the safe arrival of his son Captain Lovett. Lavaletta discusses the circumstances of rates of commission and notes that if Captain Lovett is not agreeable they are willing to pay back any disputed amounts. Lavalette mentions the business with Don Juan Cantera (refer to doc number 12789). Laveletta advises Captain Lovett of market conditions and certain products in demand in Barcelona. He also cautions Captain Lovett on the dangers created by the British ships as a result of the war with France. |
