A handwritten letter, addressed to "to legal voters in the Precinct of Salem & Beverly assembled in the school house in Bass River District." The letter was written by E.W. Harrington, who "supplied the pulpit of the 4th Congregation" for some years. In the letter, Harrington resigns from his position, though it seems that others within the congregation tried to relieve him of his post first. The letter is written on a folio sheet of wove paper, with several pieces of clear tape attached to reinforce its fold. |
