Scope & Content |
A two page type-written memorandum from the United Shoe Machinery Corporation from Robert Gibson to N.B. Todd and J.W. Coolidge from October 10, 1950 regarding Anti-Trust complaints. The memorandum states: "Your attention is invited to U.S. v. Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., et al., Civil Action 24-13 (Complaint filed S.D.N.Y. 6 Jan. 1944). A copy of the complaint is attached. I have not yet examined the file in this litigation because of its location in New York. According to CCH Trade Reg. Rep., the case is still pending in court. In lieu of attempting to summarize the contents of the complaint, which describes an alleged combination between Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, Inc., their subsidiaries, affiliates, and others, I am submitting a short index of the complaint, arbitrarily selecting pages which may be of interest. The numbers refer to paragraphs of the complaint." The last part of the memorandum outlines the names of the corporate defendants and the copies of agreements. |
