The orders are to proceed to Point Peter in Guadelope and if cargo cannot be sold for 24 liver or cash down proceed to St. Perre in Martinique, and if not sold there to Port Royal, Bapetrre, Bartholemew and Eustacia. If unsucessful all at then proceed to Cape Francis and see if anything can be inquired on the south side and let your cargo be sold where ever it may. You are also to purchase 5 to 14 good negros and feed them and preserve their health, then proceed to Havanna and sell them, and buy as much molasses as your vessel can stow, leaving room only for good you purchase with your surplus cash which you vest in sugar, cotton or hiden, which ever will make the most profit there. You may trade West Indies goods of sugar and molasses, and if you do not get permission to do so in Havanna you must proceed to Hispaniola or elsewhere, then once traded proceed home. |
