1782 document recording taxes paid by Beverly citizens to the town and county; it contains names, polls, real estate, and amount. There is a legal notice at the end of the booklet, addressed John Conant, Constable that he is required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to "level and collect of the several persons named in lists herewith" his respective proportions, set down the sum total, it being part of the tax assessment of 550 pounds agreed upon by the town at a meeting held on 17 May 1787 for the paying of the town's debts.
