Scope & Content |
She opens her letter saying how 1 week earlier she was returning from a trip when the train ahead of her's derailed and caused a great deal of traffic and confusion. She said on the next train that she met a very nice gentleman with a daughter, and she was able to pass the time talking to them. She then turns to talking about the family, asking Fayette to remind her about the sugar order. She ends talking about needing to clean the house now that she is back and is expecting long letters from her family. She wanted them to know she had returned safely home from her trip. |
