A program from the Beverly Community Institute in the Y.M.C.A. from January-February 1938. The Community Institute is represented by 26 churches of Beverly, Massachusetts and the persons from those churches. The churches involved were First Baptist, Dane Street Congregational, Methodist, North Beverly, Immanuel, Universalist, Washington Street, Centerville, Unitarian, Swedish Congregational, Wenham First, Wenham Baptist, Farms, Baptist and Boxford First, with nine others, including Central Church and Trinity Church. The organizers of these events were Dean Reverend Kenneth Beckwith, Assistant Reverend Irving W. Arnold, Manager Wesley T. Perkins, and Registrars Hazel Stevens and Barbara Thompson. The Institute Faculty were Reverend Emerson Wolfe and Reverend Paul Sheldon. The Assembly Speakers were Reverend Carl Kopf, Proferssor James P. Berkeley, Reverend George A. Butters, Reverend Dwight L. Cart, Reverend Seth R. Brooks and Reverend Garfield Morgan. |
