Handbill |
Scope & Content |
A printed handbill addressed, "To the Parish of the Second Congregational Church." It appeals to parishioners to once again consider regularly pledging money to the church. It points out the success of the pledge system of fundraising for the six years prior, but notes that from June, 1896 to June, 1897 the church began to feel financial strain and was unable to pay all its bills. The church appeals to its parishioners to speak with their friends and neighbors about pledging. It is signed, "Yours in Christian Work, F.H. Wallis." It is also signed by the Parish Committee, consisting of Frank A. Woodbury and George W. Glines. The handbill is printed on a sheet of wove paper and is dated to June of 1897. |
