1740 bill-of-sale between Anna Hale, widow to William Bartlett, mariner of Marblehead in the amount of 300 pounds for a house and six acres near the Ferry Landing. Anna Hale married William Bartlett in 1740, their intention to marry was published in Salem in July of 1740. Evidently they had not married by September. Her first husband, Henry Hale son of Robert Hale, Sr. died in 1736. They had a son, also born in 1736 - there is no other record of this child. |
