A handwritten receipt stating that William Bartlett, on behalf of Elias Hasket Derby, received twenty-nine pounds nine shillings four pence from William Langdel on March 16, 1776. This transaction was noted and witnessed by Ichabod Nichols. This was paid in full for two hogsheads of molasses two-hundred and twenty-one gallons. The word that followed that is illegible.
