A hardcover diary that was kept by Eleazer A. Webber (1838 - 1864) from 7 October 1862 - 31 December 1862. He was the son of Eleazer W. and Huldah (Dodge) Webber. His stepfather was Captain Thomas Patterson, an argonaut of '49. Webber enlisted as a private in Company G, 23rd Regiment of Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry in December 1861.
