1806 log of the Ship Alexander Hodgdon on voyages from Beverly to Sumatra, leaving 20 September 1806; the return voyage from Sumatra toward Lisbon is in 1807. Other voyages are included in the log. The last voyage is in July 1811 arriving in Boston on 25 July. In the middle of the log are a hand drawn charts of Sumatra, and the waters around it and other places including Porto Santo and the island of Bonavista.

A log of the Ship Alexander Hodgdon leaving Beverly on 28 March 1810 bound for St. Petersburg and Sumatra, Captain Josiah Lovett. The log writer notes they were on a voyage for pepper. In the front of the log is a pasted a map of the world with the voyage marked.
