   This fur shawl is made of lighter and darker furs side by side to make an alternating design. The shawl's interior is made from silk or satin. The letters E, L, and P in ornate font are patched onto the interior, which are possibly the initials of the garment's owner. The tag indicates that this shawl was made by 'Rooks Furriers' of Salem, Lawrence, and Lynn, Massachusetts.
