    Scrap of paper with a handwritten account of a visit by General George Washington to the cotton factory in North Beverly. The account was related by Mr. Isaac Babson to the writer on March 13, 1845. Isaac was born in 1771, the son of James and Eleanor Babson. He married Sarah Francis in 1830. The note has been encased in conservation paper. A photocopy of the item was left interleaved in the First Book of Records.
