Trade card for [Thurber's] "Deep Sea" Mess Mackerel, with colorful drawing on one side, and a poem by Lucy Larcom on the reverse. Probably pre-1900. H.K. and F.B. Thurber, Co. advertised that they put up their fish fresh off the fishing vessels in Gloucester. This is identical to a card in the Boston Public Library collection.

This culture led to the accusation, conviction and death of Rebecca, who has been described since as a wonderful, bright, intelligent woman and describes the monuments to her in Salem that survive to this day.
