Collection of primary source records that tell the history of Independence Park in Beverly Massachusetts. Compiled in 1906 by Charles Woodberry at the request of then-Mayor Joseph A. Wallis. Independence Park was the encampment of the 14th regiment of the Continental Army in 1775-1776 (so-called "Glover's Regiment").

An elaborately carved sword with a black leather case that belonged to Captain Moses Brown. This is a small possibly American sword. The hilt is decorated with heavy gadrooning in the English-Dutch fashion with an urn shaped pommel. The blade is triangular with heavy decoration. The following is an inscription that was engraved on the throat: "Capt. Moses Brown Beverly Glover's Regiment Trenton 26th December 1776."
