    Undated document signed by 85 Beverly women to the Senate and House of Representatives stating their opposition to slavery and requesting Congress to abolish the institution in the part of the country where it was legal. Edwin Stone in "History of Beverly" p 184 says the Beverly Anti-Slavery Society formed in 1834 and the Upper Beverly Anti-Slavery Society (we have their constitution) formed in 1837.
