    Andrew W. Rogers property circa 1915. This property was located on Hale Street across from Hale Farm. The brick chauffeur's house, visible on the left, is the only building on the property that remains to this day. He was the President of Beverly Gas and Electric (Rogers block beside the 1st Baptist Church) corner of Hale and Cabot St. He was also president of the National Bank in 1918.     Copies of original orders from General George Washington to Captain Nicholas Broughton. These orders commissioned the "Hannah" to be the first vessel in the Washington fleet- September 2, 1775. Beverly was the birthplace of Washington's navy as the Hannah sailed from Glover's Wharf.
