    1806 log of the Ship Alexander Hodgdon on voyages from Beverly to Sumatra, leaving 20 September 1806; the return voyage from Sumatra toward Lisbon is in 1807. Other voyages are included in the log. The last voyage is in July 1811 arriving in Boston on 25 July. In the middle of the log are a hand drawn charts of Sumatra, and the waters around it and other places including Porto Santo and the island of Bonavista.

    A log of the Ship Alexander Hodgdon leaving Beverly on 28 March 1810 bound for St. Petersburg and Sumatra, Captain Josiah Lovett. The log writer notes they were on a voyage for pepper. In the front of the log is a pasted a map of the world with the voyage marked.     1815 log of the Ship Alexander Hodgdon on a voyage from Beverly to Sumatra departing 15 March 1815. On July 30 1815 they departed Sumatra, voyaging to Europe. The final leg of the trip was from France to Boston. This log has the accounts of four separate voyages - 3 of the Alexander Hodgdon and one of the Ship Beverly.

    This is the settlement of money owed to Israel Thorndike from Nicholas Thorndike on March 22, 1803 for the Ship Alexander Hodgdon for the voyage to India. The captain was N. Skillings. The ship went to India and brought back spices to Boston. The total amount came to $2579.90. The balance was paid in Beverly and signed by Thomas Stephens and Israel Thorndike.

    1803 bill of sale of all Nicholas Thorndike's shares, percentage on shipped cargo, and interest in the Ship Alexander Hodgdon by Israel Thorndike as of January 1, 1804. This totals three shares of the ship, three shares of the cargo, and nine percent interest that was listed as the advance to the Captain of the Ship Andrew Thorndike. The total came to $2,812.52. Payment was received in Beverly in December 1803.
