   1799 letter from Captain Asa Batchelder of the Schooner Betsey, written from St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, regarding the voyage's status and state of affairs after the seizure of his vessel by the Schooner Lord Spencer, commanded by privateer Captain Joseph Barss of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, off the coast of Cumana.
