Richard Quartermass (b 1780 in Beverly) is selling "one half of a Seaman's share of all the Prizes and Plunder" to Daniel Kilham, Jr. ?(the name is unclear). The commander of this privateer is John Ashton. The document is witnessed by John or Jonathan Dodge. See "Beverly Privateers in the Revolution" O. Howe, p 413 for more informaiton on the Neptune.

    1777 account of the sales of the Brig Nancy with her cargo. The vessel was taken by Captain John Manly commander of the Lee . The account lists 14 barrels of beef, 4 of pork 1 3/4 bushels of peas. "Amount of ordinance stores agreeable to Majors Brumfield and Davis aprizment who is here appointed to that purpose and __ to the order of his Excellecy General Washington."     A handwritten document from Timothy Pickering pertaining to the capture of the Brig Little Hannah which was captained by Robert Adams and captured by John Manley and then put to auction. It was purchased by Jonathan Glover of Marblehead. This was sold on the 16 April 1776 and written on 23 April 1776.

    A document pertaining to the capture of the Ship Concord captained by James Lowry by John Manly and its subsequent sale at public auction. A percentage was to go to Jonathan Glover of Marblehead who was serving as agent to the libellant and the difference to John Manly and his crew. This was written on 23 April 1776 in Salem but the actual hearing took plave in Ipswich on the 18 April 1776.
