Black and white photograph of 591 Hale Street in Prides Crossing; part of the 1993 Massachusetts Historical Commission's Inventory of Beverly. During the 19th century this was the home of Peter Pride and his wife Clarrisa (Thissel) Pride and their children Edwin and Clarissa. Peter was the son of Peter Pride, Jr and Elizabeth (Thissel) Pride who were married in 1770. Their son, Peter was born in 1790 and he married Clarissa 24 November 1814. Clarrisa (also spelled "Clarisey") was the daughter of John and Lucy Thissel - Clarrisa was born in 1794 and died in 1882. |
