| Description | A color photograph of the Joseph A. Wallis House on 11 Broadway in Beverly, Massachusetts built in 1887 out of wood, clapboard, and shingle; it was designed by architect George Swan in the Queen Ann style. This property was originally owned by shoe manufacturer John A. Wallis, and was very ornate, as well as the largest residence in the center of town. The house has features such as porches, stone foundation, witches cap cone roof, a tower, and carved ornamental panels set in the exterior of the walls. |
