Black and White photograph of 1 Woodbury Street (sometimes numbered as 135 Hale Street. This photograph is part of the 1993 Massachusetts Historical Commission's Inventory of Beverly. The house was probably built by Nathaniel Wallis between 1734 and 1737. As early as 1764 it was owned by the Woodbury family. It was used as a tavern at some point in the past and in the 20th century was a restaurant. |
