This is a side view of the Boston & Maine Railroad's #6000, a one of a kind stainless steel, streamlined diesel train set that was to revolutionize passenger service on the B&M and Maine Central. It is seen here on exhibition in Concord, NH ca.1936 and was taken by C. T. Smith. The date of the photo is unknown. The #6000 was a revolutionary and more efficient way of railroading. This black & white photo was found among photographs originally owned by the Boston & Maine Marketing Department. |
