Description |
Black and White photograph showing Woodstock Railroad #3. #3 was a 4-4-0 type built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) at Manchester, NH in 1905. She came with construction number #37754, 17" x 24" cylinders, 63" drivers, and 55 tons of weight. She carried the name "J.G. Porter" under her cab window. She was eventually sold to Stratton & Company and later cut up around 1952. Here she is seen at White River Junction, VT on December 18, 1931. This photo was taken by the late Francis H. Donahue and is from the collection of the Beverly Historical Society. |
