Description |
A scanned copy of the front and back of a medal received by Pierre Albert Nadeau for his service during World War I. Nadeau served aboard the Gresham for the United States Revenue Cutter Service, the precursor of the Coast Guard. There is a red, white and blue piece of fabric suspending a bronze star shaped medal. The following is written on the front of the medal, "Salem Condita A.D. 1626 Civitatis Regimine Donata A.D. 1836." The following is on the back of the medal, "Presented by the People of Salem Mass to in grateful recognition of patriotic military service in the World War 1917-1918." |
