Description |
A watercolor on paper of a bunch of pink Odontioda Hiawatha flowers with golden stamens. There are some flowers that had been sketched, but never painted. There are two watercolors on the back of the paper. The first is of a golden Butterfly Orchid. The second is a pair of yellow and brown Odontoglossium Harwoodii. The names of all of the flowers are written in pencil either below or beside them. These appear to be practice or rough drafts for a finished work. This paper was located in a portfolio which contained the work of Eleanor C. Thomas, a local artist and art teacher. Neither side of the paper is signed. |
