Description |
A watercolor on paper of a purple Orchid Venus Slipper. The following was written on the paper, "Cypripedium Greek - Venus Slipper; leaves deep to yellow gr.; pale green view; light deep red stems; dpotted green 4 x 6." There are some sketchings on the paper of leaves that had never been painted. This appears to be practice or a rough draft for a future more refined product. This was located in a portfolio which contained the work of Eleanor C. Thomas, a local artist and art teacher. This watercolor is unsigned. |
