A drawing in pencil on transparent paper of a bunch of Columbine flowers. The following colors were written on the paper beside the image, "yellow + green, y.orange, yellow, pink, red rose, purple shadow, deep green and y.green." The following was written on the bottom left corner of the paper, "frame 10 x 13, mat 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/2, openings 5 1/2 x 8 1/2." This species of flower is found in the Rocky Mountains and is the state flower of Colorado. They are known for their long spurs. This was located in a portfolio which contained the work of Eleanor C. Thomas, a local artist and art teacher. This drawing is unsigned. |
