A framed miniature painted portrait of Reverend Enos Hitchcock (1744-1803). He was a minister of Beverly at the outbreak of the American Revolution and left to serve as chaplain for General George Washington. He was the son of Pelatiah Hitchcock. He was born in Springfield, MA and died in Providence, RI. He was married to Mrs. Achsah Jordon of Truro in 1771. |
