Description |
"The Battle of Eutaw Spings" by F. C. Yohn in 1898. In this battle the British center broke before the charge of the Virginian and Maryland regiments. Oil painting in black and white with very pale blue sky, shows confusion in battle, charge being lead and a flag in the background In 1898, Henry Cabot Lodge wrote The Story of the Revolution; this image is found in Vol 2, p. 111. The painting was donated to Beverly Historical Society and Museum by Susan Day Parker in 1904. |
