This oil painting of John Pickett was completed by J. H. Young in 1878. He was the son of Thomas and Annis (Preston) Pickett (married 1803) in 1832 he married Martha Fornis (1813- 1834) the daughter of John and Rachel Fornis. He remarried in 1838 to Susan Clark (born in 1812) daughter of Seth Clark of Salisbury MA. |
