1801 bill from a stationer, chart & printseller (the firm also sold navigational instruments) in London to Pyam Lovett. Lovett was a member of the crew of the Ship Commerce under Captain Nicholas Thorndike. Thorndike paid Lovett back for the purchase (which may have been a "screw quadrant" - the writing is difficult to read) in the amount of 3 pounds and 3 shillings. |
