    1857 - 1858 Log kept by Albert Thorndike, Jr. The merchant vessel "John Tucker" left Boston 20 August 1857 on a voyage to Calcutta and China. They called at Singapore 7 Mar 1858, Calcutta 14 Dec 1857 - left for China 8 Feb 1858; stopped at Macao on 25 April 1858 and arrived Hong Kong 17 May 1858. The final leg of the trip was from France to Boston. This log has the accounts of four separate voyages - 3 of the Alexander Hodgdon and one of the Ship Beverly.
