1842-1844 Ship "Brighton" accounts, disbursements, articles sold, etc. The crew is listed with various items charged to them, which includes clothing, tobacco, soap, knives, and medicine. Included are notes regarding sickness, deserters, and so on. The Brighton was a whaler out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The first page of this account book is a list of Frank Joseph's personal items which were sold at auction to the crew when Joseph deserted. |
