1797 letter to Captain Abraham Kilham of the Snow Fanny letting him know that one, "bearer Mr. Manners," an experienced pilot, has offered to take over his ship to Cronstadt (Kronstadt) for the price of 22 Guineas. It goes on to say that Kilham will not find a better price than this. The letter served as its own envelope, as evidenced by the remains of a wax seal. |
