    1792 Book: The Only Sure Guide to the English Tongue, by W. Perry. Owned by Henry Larcom and originally stored in the secretary/bookcase owned by Henry and Fanny Larcom. Inside the front cover it says "My father's first spelling book. He was born Feb 21st 1777." That is the birthdate of Henry Larcom, son of Henry and Priscilla Larcom.

  20. 17003 - Log, Ship's

    1821 - 1822 log of the Ship Cadmus, under Captain Henry Larcom; the log was kept by Amos Lefavour who served as second mate. There are two voyages recorded in the log, (the first is numbered BHS 16974 - 17003 is the second voyage). This voyage began in Long Wharf, Boston January 16, 1822 bound for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, South America returning to Boston in July.
