    Receipt between Robert Rantoul and his four seamen. Recorded at the River of Essequebo, the receipt indicates that crew's payment of a half-month's wages in rum. Rum presumably came from the port at Rio Demerary, where the Schooner Hope had docked prior to Essequebo. See Object 16125 in same collection, an account between Rantoul and Wm.
