Fred Hammond led attendees of the fourth Herrick Family Association Reunion on tours through Beverly and Salem in 2005 to demonstrate to Herricks from all over the country their ancestors' roles in local history. He created this work to provide additional information. The book includes a background of Beverly's history and a short historical overview of the Herrick family, starting with Henry Herrick's arrival at Roger Conant's settlement in 1630. Hammond also includes photographs, maps, letters, advertisements, and drawings to complement his writing. |
