Description |
"The Attack on Quebec" by Frederick Coffay Yohn in 1898, which shows Benedict Arnold's unsuccessful attack on Quebec in Lower Canada on December 31, 1775. Oil painting in blacks and whites, horizontal, showing soldiers running in snow. The Second Division under Arnold, attacking. Arnold, who lead this part of the attack, was completely disabled by a musket wound, and was obliged to leave the field. In 1898 Henry Cabot Lodge wrote "The Story of the Revolution;" this image is in Vol 1, Pg 111. |
