He was the son of Thomas and Annis (Preston) Pickett (married 1803) in 1832 he married Martha Fornis (1813- 1834) the daughter of John and Rachel Fornis. He remarried in 1838 to Susan Clark (born in 1812) daughter of Seth Clark of Salisbury MA.
